Bank transfer: what to look for in the cashier
The plain bank transfer is the least exciting method in any cashier and one of the most important. For deposits it is slower than a card or a wallet, because the money has to arrive and be matched before it can be played. For withdrawals it is often the default: when a deposit method cannot receive money, winnings are paid to a bank account in your name. This page explains both directions and the details that have to be right. Whether bank transfer appears in your Garage cashier, and on what terms, is shown in your account.
Go to the offerHow to deposit by bank transfer
- In the cashier choose “Deposit”, select bank transfer if offered, and enter the amount.
- Copy the payee name, account number or IBAN and the payment reference — paste rather than retype.
- Create and approve the transfer in your own online banking.
- Wait until the money has arrived and been matched; until then there is no playable balance.
- Keep the bank confirmation in case matching fails.
Which methods and limits you get depends on your account — check the cashier.
Withdrawals to your bank account
For a withdrawal you enter or select an account in your profile and file the request in the cashier. The operator reviews it — identity, bonus status, payment-method ownership — and then releases the payment. Expect to be asked for a bank statement that shows your name and account number; you may black out the transactions. How long the review takes is set in the operator’s terms; after release, the transfer runs on your bank’s timetable. The complete sequence is on the withdrawal page.
Why players pick Bank Transfer
No card numbers and no extra wallet, and the deposit shows up as a normal line on the statement. The built-in delay is also a quiet advantage: a transfer is a poor tool for impulsive reloads in the middle of a session.
Fees: who charges what
Your bank may charge for transfers, especially across borders or currencies, and the operator may set its own fee per method. Check both: your account terms for the bank side, the cashier for the operator side. Neither is quoted here because both can change.
From a phone
Banking apps make the transfer easy on mobile; the risky part is copying the reference correctly between two apps. Use copy and paste, then compare the first and last characters before you approve.
Why a payment gets declined
A bank may refuse transfers to gambling merchants, or the daily transfer limit may be reached. A transfer that is sent but not credited is usually a matching problem, not a decline.
If a payment gets stuck
Contact the operator’s support with date, amount, your account number and the reference you used. Sending a second transfer before the first is resolved only doubles the problem.
Bank transfer and bankroll planning
A worked example for sports betting: transfer €100 at the start of the month and stake €2 per single bet. Fifty stakes have to last until next month, which makes each pick a little more deliberate. The same logic works at a live roulette table with a €1 unit. More on stake sizing is in the sports betting section.
